Peeping Into Life ... and more

Peeping into Life
I shot this picture of my sister in 2005 enroute Valley of Flowers,
a trek of 16 km from Govindaghat.
It is on the road to the famous shrine of Badrinath in Uttaranchal.

Border Secutiry
I shot this at India-Nepal border in Sandakphu in 2006.
There is only a physical border there, and no mental border.
The forces of the two sides freely interact with each other.
Crossing the border there is easy, and involves no formalities.

Earth Is Better Than Heaven.
I shot this picture enroute Hemkund Saheeb in 1999.
Hemkund Saheeb is a pilgrimage of both the Sikh and Hindu community.
It is a 19 km trek from Govindaghat,
which is on the road to the famous shrine of Badrinath in Uttaranchal.

Lake Ripples
I shot this picture of Khechiperi Lake in Sikim in 2000.
The lake is full of red fishes as can be seen in the photograph.
The lake amidst sylvan surroundings is an absolute bliss.
The water of the lake is considered very auspicious.

The End of Life
I shot this picture of River Buribalam near Chandipur,
a sea-resort in Orissa in 1998.
This spot of the river has a historic significance.
The famous Bengal revolutionary ‘Bagha Jatin’ (Jyotindranath Mukhopadhyay)
fought valiantly with the English Force
under Charles Tegart, and died a martyr here.
