Immortal Lovers

Workshop # 3

Like everlasting lovers
bathed in the glory of immortality
We shall remain thus,
face to face, gazing at nothing
In our brightest of times, you say,
we gave joy to those around us
Yet we sit discarded, you say,
when our own lives have dimmed
Let go of all those ill feelings,
my sweet, let go of the past I say
For even after the pyre is long burnt
and gone, our charred remains
shall lay entangled thus
Like everlasting lovers
bathed in the glory of immortality
We shall remain thus,
face to face, gazing at nothing.
