Petunia Violacea

Some botanical information about this flowering plant is as follows:

Family: Solanaceae
The Name Petunia is derived from Brazilian word, Petun (for the closely related tobacco).
Place of origin: Tropical America.
Description: Showy flowered plants, perennial. These plants, when they are in full bloom, look their best in decorative flower pots, in trailing forms most suitable for balconies and in hanging baskets. Flowers are trumpet shaped, in variety of colors - white, pink, purple, mauve, yellow, often speckled, striped or veined in contrasting shades.
Flowering time: summer to early autumn
