Prologue

In the sea of inspiration
Floating through a maelstrom world
In the darkness of a vision
Never seen and never heard
In the closed, surrounded capsule
Deep within this broken heart
Quiet voices on the air's waves
In a sea that won't depart
Voices of a greater nation
Beckoning with temptress voice
Who is this that gives a calling
Bringing me to final choice?
Sirens in a land of wanting,
Land of trouble, land of tides
Sirens of the outward falling
Hear in space of March's Ides
Sirens lost forever to me
Viewed plainly in Sun's light
When shall come the day foretelling
With lost sirens brought to might?
