Sweet Surrender

Today I picked up the phone
And said all that I've wanted to…
To you..

I left a message on your answering machine
Telling you how I've felt
Since the first time I saw you…

Typed the same email again this morning
And even clicked "send",
In hope that you'd read it with a smile,
When you know how I feel…

I wrote a letter,
In heart-shaped writing…
Went to the post box,
And mailed it to you..

Went to the beach today,
And etched my name, a heart, then your name 
In the sand... far from the waves,
For you to see it when you pass by…

Reached the top of a mountain,
And called your name,
At the top of my voice,
So you'd hear, the voice of my heart…

Today I gave in,
To the sweet surrender of love
Opening doors beyond fear and reserve..
To let the fragrance of my feelings,
Reach out to you..

Tomorrow I shall wait,
For you to escape from my dreams,
And become a beautiful reality,
That belongs.. To Me…
