Sculptor

 I lay lifeless in my loneliness
You carved me there out of stone
And made me a beautiful image
Lo! all my inner ugliness has gone.

Your heart is just creative and great
Your eyes are just imbued with that divine
Your breath doth enliven dead souls
Your beauty is intoxicating wine

I lay lifeless in my loneliness
You tapped me, Lo! I was electrified
Your feather soft touch, your sweet words
Enthused me from within and vivified

“Sculptor! Sculptor!” I cried out
“You’ve sent me in that world of magnitude
Where I’m no longer a dead rock but idol
You’ve changed me, you’ve changed my attitude.”
