Life is Never Kind

Sometimes what you want, is not what you need..
A certain point in life comes,
Where emotions fail, and facts succeed..
You choose what you should,
over what you would..
Responsibilities and expectations take their effect,
and in the end, they are what you select...
You kill your own desires, your wants and your feelings,
just to make it easier, when it comes to practical dealings..
Half the time you live your life, as if,
to you it does not belong,
letting go of so much,
for which you'll always long..
Its a battle of your heart and your mind,
and to your own emotions, it makes you go blind..
From the little that you get, happiness you must find,
may be its true after all, Life Is Never Kind.
