You

The first gaze shook my soul,
My eyes searched so long,
In a second, I was awakened.

The memories of how we would meet,
Of what we would say, hate then love,
In a second, I was awakened.

The days when I listened to others' love stories,
Hoping endlessly when mine would begin,
In a second, I was awakened.

The hope in darkness,
The loneliness in your search,
In a second, I was awakened.

Silent tears, whispering out for you,
Being around couples, wondering where were you,
In a second, I was awakened.

Now, when years have gone by,
I forget the days without you,
As my soul has now awakened.
