My Children
by Dr. Manasi Dutt

I wanted to have children
badly, desperately.
They are my greatest creation
in God's declaration.
They now serve the Higher Power
And the world.

To my memory
They'd pay homage
By freeing humanity
From bondage.
They'd walk my way
When I'm on the other side of the bay.

They’d talk my posthumous glory
When I’m gone
we shall get your tasks done
Not with misery
but with fun.

If you leave behind stories and poems
We shall complete them well.
We shall honor your memory
We shall honor your legacy.

And at the end we shall say,
Glory be to you our mother,
We didn’t want anybody other.


That's how loyalty is
Between a mother and her child
It surpasses anything God had ever built.
This is the supreme creation
In god’s declaration.
