Theme : Dilemma
In the Bar

by Manpreet Singh Chhatwal

Going to the random guy in the bar
Talking to him

What do you do, where do you come from
What makes you happy
What is life all about – for you

The more I talk to people the stronger I feel
- We are all disillusioned
No one more confused than the other
In a spiral we may never come out of
In a race we may never win

What is that race
Why are we in that race
We don’t want to be a part of that race
It’s the “old” race of chasing dreams

Whose dreams are these
They don’t seem to be mine
But we are “programmed” to still chase them
and still be unhappy
They mustn’t be my dreams

Why aren’t we happy
What makes us happy
Do we need new dreams
Or, is there something wrong with the race itself
No one seems to know

Definitely not the random guy in the bar.
