You opened my heart
With an old memory –
And I felt like napping
On your lap, near Gooseneck ferry
Dreams about you came to my view
In the middle of an afternoon –
While I was playing banjo and fiddle,
And hoping to see you soon!
Silhouette breeze of Gooseneck ferry
Played with my restless hair -
And longed for you in Hollywood style
For our fun to share
Strokes of your nails upon my head
Made me sleepy and dazed –
And I felt so lucky,
Like a bird who is just now caged!
So I sang and danced
As a prisoner of hope –
With a melodious voice of my choice,
Shedding from your love to cope
Your hug and kiss, unable to miss,
Even for a second or two –
Lift my soul with your hourglass body,
Nicknamed Cody says, "I do"!
Often I dream to sink or swim
In your love, 'cause you're mine –
So I whisper as the dusk dons
On me on the day of Valentine
