How do you begin to let go?
Let go of something you never had
I have hoped against all hope
That you my love, would come back
Come back and fill the hole
That is in my heart

It's been years now but I'm still here
Waiting for you to come back
But now I realize that you have moved on
I have to do the same
But my heart won't allow me
My mind knows the truth
But why won't my heart accept it?

I think about you all the time and I wonder
Do I ever cross your mind or if you are happy
Because maybe if I knew you were happy
I would be happy because I love you
It doesn't matter who is with you
Just as long as you are happy
That will make me feel better
Because the truth is my heart is yours forever
That will never change
