Friend
Thoughts of you never seem to fade away,
They lurk around in the corner of my mind
Whenever I'm lonely they creep back in,
I try to push them away coz it makes me sad that I'll never see you again
I struggle terribly to pass a day
Without thinking about you
Finding someone to replace you is something I've tried but failed
While moving on is something I'm finding hard to do.
You were in my life for a short time
Yet you touched my heart and left mark that'll last forever.
Having you in my life was the best thing that ever happened to me
Your smile, your laughter made it all worthwhile
Your laughter was like music that lay beneath the heart
I guess I never realized how much you meant to me until you were gone.
Friend, Friend
I'm struggling to forget you.
