Quirk of Fate

The merger was perfect

we met like hand & leg
and joined in to stay together
suddenly we realized
we were alone with no body or soul

This made us unique

two distinct identities bound
by accident or god's irony
with the new found freedom

Of not having to serve the body

we became the ultimate gift to mankind
helping men who could not walk
and those who could not work
when we met I thought god had played a joke
lest did we realize

We were with the greatest gift of god
