Creation
and Destruction
Life
on canvas
Landscapes
like a chameleon
flip-flop
between breathtaking and frightening.
Her keen eye of observation
Oodles of hard work
emotions recollected in tranquility
picture perfect.
The darkening clouds
imminent rain
ferocious winds....
As inclement weather encircles
undeterred
she carries on....
finish she must today
tomorrow's exhibition will surely win her laurels
tears well up in her eyes
tears of happiness.
And then
all of a sudden
A gust of string winds .....
a creaking sound
her creation splits into smithereens
Heart-rending sobs echoed in the valley.
