He is the one, as SC judge, who accepted appeal that challenged earlier judgment of SC to for SIT under chairmanship of a retired SC judge to investigate black money stashed aboard. Had the appeal been rejected, the political atmosphere in the country today would have been very different - and it would have happened for GOOD reasons. The other judge in the 2 judge bench who decided on the appeal, rejected the appeal. So the case moved to the Chief Justice automatically and then He was appointed the Chief Justice !! |
