Musings of a Lady

In the looking glass I see
a stranger looking back at me
Father time has taken his toll
humility, anger, frustration . . . old
why does my mind keep saying .... young
I am nineteen . . . twenty one
youth and vitality in my soul
I deride what I behold
Be the best that I can be
I will not let life conquer me
I have traversed countless seas
mountains and shores
there can be nothing more
eyes behold beauty in man and beast
adapted culture from the east

youth and age let us abide
chalk it to experience and pride.
