Motherhood and being a mother are neither professions nor jobs.
They are service with love. They are care with sacrifice.
Being a mother is possible only to woman.
All remaining works, professions and jobs can be managed by men and women, being equal according to present thinking.
But motherhood can't be transferred to any one else. Being mother to own offspring is great service to family and society.
But mothering (taking care of own offspring) is transferred to maids and baby-sitters and aayaas. This is great disservice to infants.
Taking care as mother by also giving breast-milk is healthy to infants both physically and psychologically.
As culture, life style and civilization are advancing this taking care as mother is relegated to the background.
The rights of infants are not at all given any consideration.
This is an unfortunate situation culturally and from humane point of view.
Outsourcing mothering is last thing that should happen.
