Simple Philosophy

A snippet from my 1967 Diary:

The essence of philosophy is that a man should live so that his happiness shall depend as little as possible on external things. Wealth consists not in great possessions, but in having little wants. With a little effort one can attain this goal and enjoy life.

Daily Routine

Our mother wanted us (my elder brother and myself) to follow the following routine in daily life: After lunch rest a while, and after dinner walk a mile.
Early to bed, and early to rise, makes you healthy, wealthy and wise.
