Endearing Species

Endearing Species by Ramu Upadhaya tells the tale of Gorkhas' nationality, gallantry and loyalty to the nation. Starting with rearing cattle, it exhibits their efficiency of works in the paddy field. To the Government establishments, including Defence, the fiction also tries to stick out the hearts of Thula and Maila. They examine themselves as the real characters of human in the novel.

The book reflects the subtle loyal nature of the community people in their relationship with other tribals of Northeastern India, including those of Dima Hasao district of Assam. Besides, it highlights the traditional life of Gorkhas with tribals and their heroism sans recognition-a meaningful presentation!

Well, the book Endearing Species by Ramu Upadhaya is a highly relevant book on understanding the position and culture and social chores of Gorkhas living in the Northeastern part of India. It is tremendously rich with the cultural knowledge about the Gorkha people of India.

Overall, Endearing Species by Ramu Upadhaya portrays the lives of two Gorakhas in general who represent the entire tribe… and their presence, co-existence with others, national and international perspectives.
