Handle with Care

I always feel that at every stage one has to learn, read, understand, and act to those whom you think you are close to you. Yes. We cannot share all things or express our views always. The reasons are simple. Either the words or remarks we made will come back to us at the most unexpected junctures or the reaction of that person will leave you shocked or something desired.

This experience ultimately boils down to only one thing. Each individual is made of a certain material. That material’s actions and reactions cannot be anticipated or controlled by others irrespective of others’ closeness or confidence. They are not chemicals whose properties could be read from their Material Safety Data Sheets.

So, an absolutely indifferent or knowingly detached way of life is the wise proposition. Sounds offensive? Not at all. It is a fact and a bitter truth.

Every individual is an island with their own ideas of life and the people around them. Some are explicit and certain others implicit. It may not be possible or feasible for any other person to probe and find out. It happens mostly by ‘trial and error’ method only. I am really surprised even ‘sympathy’ at times goes either unacknowledged or rebutted.

So, whether we learn anything scientific, technical, psychological, or philosophical through life, it is absolutely wise to keep everyone, here I mean EVERY INDIVIDUAL, however close they are to you, at an arm’s distance and handle with care like one handle glasses or porcelain wares. This holds good even for your life partner, own children once they become adults or family men or women.

Otherwise, we will be at the receiving end at the most unexpected juncture to our shock, surprise, or disappointment. At that time, one may feel hurt or disheartened. A blame game doesn’t work here and is of no use. The mistake would be ours; failed to act with prudence.

The choice is not theirs, but OURS.
