My earlier job involved intense travel. During one of those travel I learnt one profound truth of life. It has motivated me personally and I wish to share it with everyone I cross my path.
I was early, so I waited in the waiting room of Chandigarh railway station. Around me were many other passengers. We were all headed to our own destinies but at the waiting room we crossed our path for a brief time. The benches were full. Some sat down on the floor others, insensitively stretched themselves in full length in bench. In a humid day, the ceiling fan hardly made any difference. The stench of railway station was blowing my nostril. The dirty water passing from bathroom wetted half the floor. Surprisingly, in all this no one complained.
In a journey sometimes you have to rush, other times wait. Sometimes you find good co-passengers other times noisy and fussy ones. Yet you don’t care about the inconveniences. In your heart you say, I have to reach somewhere, this is temporary. You may be tired but the thought of the clean shower, neat and comfortable bed waiting for you makes you happy.
Life is a journey, much like this one. If we know where we are heading, we can easily overlook inconveniences and focus on where we have to reach.
Set your focus and take steps towards reaching it, sometimes ignoring other times solving the inconveniences you come across.
