Behold

held in the arms of
verdant leaves
reveling
in their youth.
Enmeshed in
and embracing them
a big wide leaf
green in most its part
while aging from its periphery -
perhaps undergoing a mid-life crisis.
And a ripe old golden leaf
overlooking
the glory of them all.
Doesn't it remind you
of a joint Hindu family
which is now a thing of the past ?
