Heritage

Workshop # 2

As I stand and take this photograph
Of my Pitaji and My Beta,
I remember sitting on my Pitaji's lap
As He read The Ancient Vedas
My eyes begin to tear inside-
As this duality of emotion
     cannot be denied-
Joy of a new life beginning
A Journey of guidance begins
Sadness that My Pitaji's
Become old and frail, as His
Life walk is near its end
My Heritage sits before Me
Past, Present, Future in Time
A Song of Duality Taints My Pride
My Heart sings of Endless Tomorrows
With the Joy of a Beta by My side
My Heart laments with the sorrow
Of Leaving My Pitaji behind
I'll cherish our every moment together
My Pitaji, My Beta and Me-
Families are God's Lessons for
Loving in Life
Your Heritage is God's Family Tree.
