Against the wheel of life
we live...

so much that we don't know...
so much that we just pass by...
so much that stares us straight in the face...
and yet...
not a hint of recognition we know...

Old and new faces...
full of hope
all drained of hope...
yet walk side by side...

We live and die
feel eternity
in our dreams...

Yet life...
eludes us...
if at all...
we know it thro' our dreams...

Life...
someday perhaps
would be within our grasp...

Someday
the old and the infant
would look alike
at life...
