I love the story of stone soup! It tells the tale of initially everyone hoarding what they had and not sharing even though everyone was hungry. The person who had carrots would not share the carrots; likewise for the person who had onions, potatoes, etc.
One day, so the story goes, an old woman brought a huge pot to the middle of the town square and put water and stones into it. When asked what she was doing she said she was making stone soup.
One by one everyone became curious and tried the soup. The person who had the carrots immediately recognized that the soup would be much better if it had carrots and went to get the carrots and add them, as did the persons with the onions, potatoes, etc. What a feast they ended up having.
One woman had a vision and made a difference to the entire community.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
