The second part of the constitution amendment has come into effect. The state is bifurcated into two union territories.

It is nearly three months now since the Government of India passed resolutions. The situation in the valley still appears to be hazy.  A few weeks back Dr. Jaipal Singh wrote a Blog article in these columns. In response to my comments he added a sequel too. My main observation that there is lack of transparency is still appearing to be holding.

Of late there have also been instances of terrorist activities.

The Government has done something unethical by allowing a delegation of European Union lawmakers to visit the state. They have denied such permission to our own members of parliament.
