In view of the importance of the topic I have felt it necessary to share with you a summary of the contents of the above. The motivation has come from the fact that people are not using Induction Cooktops to the extent it is desirable in spite of its many beneficial features. Listed below are the advantages of using Induction Cooktops.

Energy efficient: In induction cooktops between 80 and 90 per cent of the electrical energy is converted into useful heat. The efficiency of gas burners is between 40 and 50 per cent.

No energy wastage: Only the requisite (bottom) part of the vessel gets heated. One can touch the rest of the vessel without getting burns.

Electrically shockproof: There is no possibility of getting electric shock. Any part of induction cooker can be touched.  In fact the induction heaters are classified as Grade 2 and require no earthing.

Safety: As the heat is generated in the base of the vessel there are no flames and hence no likelihood of fire.

Zero thermal radiation: The kitchen stays cool and hence more cooking comfort. One can have the luxury of turning on the ceiling fan while cooking for additional comfort.

Additional safety: In case of the cooking vessel becoming dry, the device automatically trips.

Time saving: Cooking is faster as compared to gas and conventional electric.

Heat control precision: Heat control is one of the big drawbacks associated with electric stoves and hot plates. Control is much better in gas. It is even better in induction cooking as temperature control is digitally operated. Moreover, they have built-in accurate timers.

Hygienic: Easy to clean and maintain.

Attractive and stylish: The ceramic glass tops of the induction cookers have a shining surface and thus they add elegance to the kitchen.

User-friendly: The induction cookers are very compact, of lightweight and are portable.

Economy: Currently the gas cylinder prices are of the order of 1100. The electric energy rates vary from state to state. For a rate of seven rupees per unit and considering the fact that the induction cooking is twice as efficient as the gas burner, it can be shown that gas cooking is about one and half times costlier than induction cooktop cooking.

In summary it can said that induction cooktop scores over other modes of cooking in terms of EFFICIENCY, ECONOMY, SAFETY and COMFORT/CONVENIENCE.
