Right Time To Eat As Per Ayurveda

When you eat is as important as what you eat!!

Alot of times I see people advise that you should eat every two hours. And, in English we usually say..have a big breakfast.

But here is an unorthodox idea about meal timings.

So in Yoga we say..

- Someone who eat one meal a day is a YOGI
- One who eat two meals a day is a BHOGI
- and the one eating three meals a day is basically a ROGI (diseased)

Because you are not giving your digestive system enough time to digest, absorb & assimilate the nutrients.

There’s semi digested food lying there & now you are dumping fresh food over it. They are both getting mixed ..releasing gases and causing bloating.

You are always feeling heavy, because your gut is constantly working . There’s no time for it to detoxify the toxins..so if you keep eating all day. You cells will retain impurities for a longer period of time.

And if you are thinking..eating whole day can keep you active, you are wrong. If food is constantly being processed in your gut, a certain amount of energy is allocated towards that, so both your brain and body will not function at their best.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you feel more active when the stomach is empty or when there’s food in it!?
