India today put up a spirited display to trounce France 8-1 to book a berth in 2012 London Olympics. It is a great achievement, and our boys have made all of us proud. Playing in the national Stadium, Delhi the boys opened their scoring in 13th minute, when Birender Lakra hit the board in the 17th minute. Thereafter it was Sandeep Singh's dream game scoring five more goals, the remaining two were scored by S V Sunil and V R Raghunath. What a display of skill!
The whole nation gives the gallant boys a standing ovation on their sterling performance. We all fondly wish that they annexe the gold in this year's Olympics in London later in summer.
