The slowly trickling brook
With lazily curving waves
The water so crystal clear
But sweet and soft too
Sunlight floods it at days
So does the moon at nights
Trees on the banks give shade
And the fields fan it to daze
Sounds of the cuckoo birds
Bring life to the lively world
Dangling bells of the cattle
Play music to the belle’s tunes
The village by six though dark
Is agog with life and talk
The early sun’s rays do wonder
Watching the beauty and gay under
