I saw him tip-tapping
On the pavement,
With his folding stick,
I thought he will collide head-on
With the man coming across
The pavement.
But, he moved away from him
With an alacrity, which amazed me.
When I saw the heap of stones,
Lying on the pavement,
I lunged to help him,
But, he tip-tapped away,
From the heap,
Which made me puzzle?
He reached the cross-roads,
Buses and motor cars zoomed past,
Around him,
He just stood there,
As if nothing bothered him,
And a second later,
He tip-tapped across the road.
Whenever I longed to help this seemingly helpless man-
I found him outwitting me.
I pondered…
Whether everybody could find their way,
Through the intricacies of life,
As the Blind man did….?
