I Am A Woman

I am not the doormat you’ll use,

Nor am I a commodity you muse,

I am straight forward, I am bold,

I am a woman you can’t unfold.

Mistakes, heartbreaks, sighs,

Solitude, failure, spine chilling lies,

Nothing can affect me anymore.

I’ll be strong from my heart’s core.

With honesty and purity in my heart,

I will give my life a brand new start.

Never will I quit, never will I surrender,

I will be immune to the pain you render.

I won’t allow your gifted grief to engulf me,

Just wait and watch what I will be.

Even if my name doesn't make it to history,

I will always remain to you as a mystery.

I won’t depend upon you for my joy,

I will be the first woman you can’t annoy,

I will never stop trying, never accept defeat,

I am a woman you can’t bring on your feet!

In our scriptures woman has always been depicted as the deity of strength and power and the destroyer of the devil. You have perfectly presented her in the angry mood of 'Chandi'.
