I wish to be a flower
Exotic one it seems
Hue and the wonder
Of things that are unknown
How could they grow in hothouse
Or in a home within
Safe from the elements
But do they miss the bee
I wish to be a flower
Sensual to some
Supine in wonder
But I don't wish to be alone
In nature's garden
I would thrive with other plants
But then ... unfriendly situation
Would make me wither and die
Exotic color
So beautiful to see
I look upon the flower
And wish that it were me.
