Love is beyond
The physical…
So as long as
You dream,
Fantasise,
Eulogise…
Other men
And women,
It’s ok with
Your partner
Who doesn’t
Mind you
Watching
Pornography
And ogling at
Naked women.
But the moment
You share your
Body with some
Other, you are
Accused of
Infidelity…
Love flows
Out of the window.
Why so?
Wasn’t love
Meant to be
Beyond the body,
And not merely
Possessing
Physically…
So why is
Love tolerant
Of all forbidden
Dreams, when
You are not
Faithful to your
Partner in your
Mind, heart and
Soul – and yet
Your partner
Sees it ok to
Accept you.
But that body
Of yours
Makes barriers
In a jiffy and
You end up
Facing his
Wrath.
Love
Turns to
Hurt and hatred
Just because you
Gave away,
Yourself -
Physically...
So, is love all
Glib-talk?
Or does it really
Go beyond the
Confines of
Our possessiveness
Of the body…
