We Indians utter with so much pride
that ours is the largest democracy in the world.
It sounds one of those Guinness Book of World records
which can have some kind of ego pampering value with no utility,
having only queerness to draw attention.
All the year round news papers, channels,
banal arguments at every fora scream like schizophrenics
the state of affairs of the country and the mal-practices,
resulting in laws and amendmendments
for nobody to follow. For getting away
and boasting are the rules of the game!
Let the less brainy fall prey!
Dear polity, what about a voting age of
twenty four to fifty four, thirty to sixty and thirty to sixtyfive
for corporation, state and central elections?
Eighteen is too young to think about all of these.
With maturity deciding issues
less political banalities
will result in a calmer, well-reasoned society.
