He cherished every day of his life.
He was a casual man with five kids and a wife.
Sadly his wife died and left him on his own.
He then raised his kids and he did it all alone.
He was eighty-seven when he passed away.
He lived his life to the fullest every single day.
He was at the hospital the day I was born.
When he died, his friends and family mourned.
My Grandpa was a great man from the past.
My memories of him are so very vast.
He lived in the mountains of Tennessee.
He was important to others just the way he was to me.
(Dedicated to Burkette Greene who passed away February 7, 1998.)
