There is a certain class of writers
who cries hoarse
about post-modernism.
No point they say
repeating predecessors.
It is just fine.
Creativity must find new avenues.
But the point is
what is more important?
The raga or the exponent.
For the listener
obviously the raga.
There cannot be post-modernism in raga.
Likewise, if you can be post-modern
in your poetry writing
then only one can have some kind of attention
is misleading.
"A thing of beauty is a joy forever",
post-modern or not.
Try new avenues, boys.
Wish God gives you success,
and be immortal.
But my wish is no more than a fig leaf.
Where gusts of social wind will throw one's creation
in the garbage heap
or be neatly wrapped up
and placed in tresure trove,
only time will tell.
So stick your neck up
and cry hoarse,
some will stand and watch,
and some will just pass you by!
