(A Night Song) As spring is in its full glory and bloom... One more pleasant night is close to an end. Twinkling stars in sky have lost their shine Moonlight too has lost grace and splendour In the distant east, the dawn is in the horizon As mighty sun is about to rise up yet again But with a sleepless night, anxiety and unrest I am still longing and you have not shown yet. With droopy leaves and sleepy flowers Cattle in sheds and birds in their nests After the whole night's sleep and rest Getting now ready to bloom, feed and bait But with night long fatigue, anxiety and unrest I am still longing and you have not shown yet. Countless seasons have thus come and gone Days and years of life passed but all alone Twilight of life is, now, fast closing in sight With shadow of wrinkles apparent even on soul You have not kept promise, it adds to my unrest I too deserve some peace before the final rest. One more pleasant night is close to an end - I am still longing and you have not shown yet.
