Theme: Pain

Vestigial Love

I you so wish
You can take away all,
What is mine.
Knowledge earned over years,
Identity of sheer hard work,
Social status today I enjoy,
Then there is always some
Amount of wealth and fortune.

But please don't ever ask
To share my memories and pain,
Which are not mine.
I am just a trustee.
It's the vestigial love
Of a short but intense fairy-tale
Which on departure, she left behind
And I had to live with it
In my memories as endless pain.

Comment You are so kind and generous, Dr Kumarendra.
It's a paradox! Otherwise I sincerely believe, a pain is personal and we should spread love, peace and joy.

Comment Very sensitive composition, Jaipal ji. Not only you have tears in your eyes, you cloud each reader's eyes. Lovely.
