Theme: Love

Back to Platonic Love

The aura of your love illumines my mind,
When the hour hand of the clocks rewind,
I am blessed with a book of nostalgic thought,
Which I remember and you probably forgot!

My love for you was platonic for years,
Beyond the desires of worldly spheres,
The eyes of my love looked beyond body,
It was always a soul to soul rhapsody!

Until one day, the sudden tornado came,
And upon my innocent love it put the blame,
We were swept off our feet by the cyclone,
And strangely enough the mortal desires won!

But now my love reverts back to platonic,
As your deathly silence seems cacophonic,
I assure this platonic love won't change again,
As you have left me to moan in ceaseless pain!

Comment As usual, an excellent composition, though I have apprehensions why should you assure someone observing deathly silence.
