The boundless spirit, unfettered, free
consents to leave its immortal realm
and come to earth and dwell
within the mortal frame of man
subject to suffering, sickness and death.
The prophet Jesus did the same
to bring to the unholy race called Man
the blessing of eternal grace
and the wisdom of a compassionate stance;
the joining of mind and heart as one.
Who are we to question why?
Is the mind the only organ of thought?
Does not the heart know what is true?
Does not the soul sense what is good?
Is not the spirit the breath of God?
