Theme: Challenge

The Battle Within

A muzzled fox can never bite,
Made for the kill it can only die,
A bird with clipped wings no longer flies,
Yet with providence it learns to sing,
A king in exile no longer rules his land,
But with loyal following he can retrain for war,
A lost mind is never really found,
Like a motionless heart it brings sorrow,
A broken dream does not mean the end,
Failure becomes death when we stop trying.

Comment This is a great poem. It uses a rhyming scheme, but flows very well, and accomplishes a lot in the space used - definitely not a boring read.
