For Your Eyes

The thing I like
about them,
is that they are true...
makes me realize
whenever I am with you...
that one can smile
to see one's face,
and look in their eyes,
be lost in the gaze...

They twinkle,
by a touch...
they sparkle,
by a blush...
they blink
for the world...
and stop
to hear my word...

They close,
to pray...
they shrink,
to say...
they turn away,
whenever shy...
the best thing about them is
that they never lie.
