I started writing poetry when I was seventeen.
Soon I got a few of them published
in little magazines of Kolkata.
It was such a pleasure
seeing my name in print.
But publishing was no longer a habit
for the arduous nature of it.
But would write poetry thenceforth
when in love, or in pain, or in turmoil.
But soon life's priorities were different
and poetry writing
was like a trickling stream.
As life meandered through rough terrains,
poetry writing gushed forth
as stock-taking ensued
like looking down from the hilltop
to the point of starting
in the plateau below.
"As life meandered through rough terrains, poetry writing gushed forth as stock-taking ensued like looking down from the hilltop to the point of starting in the plateau below." very nice!!
