Not very long back
Everyone had friends
And known foes
Mostly of their age
And when friends with
An elder or a younger,
He or she was more of
A guide and mentor
Than a friend really
Hands-in-glove.
In the Facebook era
The progressive attribute is
Everyone is a friend
A five years old
A ninety years young
All men and women
Even not so wise Ass
Or a treacherous wolf
By proxy or camouflage
Everyone is welcome to join
And be friends.
Flip side of course
If one of the friends
Out of sheer love
Takes little more interest
Peeps into your privacy
Hacks your account
Or posts some stuff
Embarrassing or obscene,
Some feel it objectionable!
Not a cause of concern
Nothing to worry about
After all there are tales
Even from old times
Some of the best known friends
Have stabbed in the back
With deadly wounds
In all times.

Your lines reflect human nature in all days and all times... it is of no use to only find faults - how right you are - perils lurk all over and through and through our existences - thus pointless to crib... enjoyed the poem very much
