A Fairy Tale

Like a fairy descended right from the sky
She was beautiful no less than Snow White
Like an angel she was generous and kind
The flowers bloomed whenever she smiled.

She was standing in my way open arms
And I knew well it was real not a dream
Yet struggled with my inertia to overcome
And in the process I rendered her all alone.

We were then both stuck at the crossroads
I could not fathom how dense was the fog
Nor could fully perceive the green light
Till it was too late with a long red light.

When the fog cleared the caravan had gone
Leaving me at the crossroads all but alone
The time and opportunity in life never repeat
So when they come, you should not retreat.
