A Father's Kiss

I remember him
Showing his devotion
Kissing me
I was special
He'd take me to the movies
I thought that there were only musicals
He kept me in a clean world
Sterile to a point
I wondered how I came about
But never ventured to ask
I remember the purity
In his proffered gifts
Like taking me to a soccer game
That would illicit a cry
Of yay, and pumbalo
I didn't understand the rules
Being with him was cool
So much he gave to me
Kisses kept in memory
A thousand joyful things
Thought a father brings

Happy Father's Day Daddy
I love and miss you so much.
