You are leaving your hometown and me,
Again I have to wait till October I guess,
I just hate to bid you goodbye, baby,
But this is life, so I have to accept it.
I have never cried so much as in last week,
My eyes have been puffed, my voice choked,
I have felt my value in your life declining,
I have sensed your negligence and disloyalty.
But trust me; I could not love you any less,
While writing this poem I am again in tears,
As I am here with my unfinished tale of love,
Here with my trodden dreams and unseen pain.
Love is limitless; no fence can bind its dignity or depth,
For whatever you call me, it can’t change my love,
Love is beyond any such boundary of age or society,
I am sure you know it already, as you too have faced it.
You must have reached your new town by now,
I know you might not be missing me too,
But no one can miss you as much as I do,
As my love for you is endlessly profound.
I pray daily to God to keep you safe and content,
Be true to yourself and be happy, that’s all I want.
Under the sheet of loneliness with sighs and cries,
I lie....loving you with every bit of my broken heart!
