Castaway

129854816.jpg
Years ago
His ship wrecked,
Castaway
In his solitude
In a constant struggle
With the loneliness
He is still engaged
With the wreckage...

Mending it
Repairing it
Fabricating it
To a credible
Navigable device
With a hope to reach
The mainland
Someday...!

Nevertheless
To be,
Or not to be,
Remains the dilemma...
If only
His loved one
Still longs for
and accepts...
The unbridgeable gap
Of time, space and age!

('To be, or not to be' is one of the most famous literary quotations from William Shakespeare's play Hamlet)

Comment Yes, I agree, Rupradha Ji, few years back I had seen it on TV. Basic human emotions and feelings remain same and could be counted in numbers. Hence when you write in text or verse, many things you find, are just coincidental and, of course, sometimes inspired. But at times, real life incidents and experiences are for more fascinating and/or excruciating too.

Thanks for compliments..
